Scaleup Accelerator
PwC Accelerator is a main business on the PwC Innovation platform, focusing on industry and new technology. We collaborate with external strategic innovation partners and mobilise PwC's global network resources and professional services to help startups achieve their goals at home and abroad.
In the Accelerator programme, we select startups through quantitative evaluation. We help them in business model optimisation, capital market operation, business development and expansion, strategic partnership, international development, operation management services and more. Importantly, we help establish a high quality network to build close partnerships between innovation enterprises and big corporates.
Currently, the Accelerator programme includes PwC x Shanghai Zhangjiang Digital Healthcare Accelerator Camp and Fintech Accelerator Camp empowered by Microsoft Global Accelerator. We are also preparing to extend Accelerator projects in AI, Big Data, TMT, environment and other areas across key cities in China.
Our work:
1. PwC x Shanghai Zhangjiang Digital Healthcare Accelerator Camp
With support from the Pudong New Area Government and Zhangjiang Administrative Committee, the PwC x Shanghai Zhangjiang Digital Healthcare Accelerator Camp supports startups by bringing together a community of PwC partners and professionals; private equity funds and risk investment institutions including FountainVest, Boyuan Capital and Honghui Capital; and healthcare entrepreneurs such as Merck China and Fosun Pharma.
2. Microsoft Accelerator • Shanghai x PwC Fintech Accelerator
One of the most important projects for Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Accelerator is known as the best accelerator programme in China, which is harder to enter than Harvard. PwC has collaborated with Microsoft Accelerator to launch the Fintech Accelerator Camp, in which PwC provides professional mentorship to enterprises in the Accelerator, covering strategy, finance, operations, organisation and more. With its mature network and resources, PwC can uniquely link the needs of large-scale corporations to startups' technology and products.
3. Recruitment of Accelerator Programme
The PwC Accelerator Camp shines the spotlight on key ABBC technologies (AI, big data, blockchain and cloud) as well as online industries like fintech, healthcare, retail, education, entertainment, automotive, environmental protection and cleantech. The PwC Accelerator Camp provides professional mentors; actively connecting market and investor resources, and sharing global innovation to help startups achieve breakthroughs. The PwC Accelerator Camp also supports large-scale corporates to innovate in terms of digital transformation, organisational optimisation and the exploration of new business models.
