Kelvin Cheong is a partner in the Forensic Services practice with PwC China and has specialised in forensic accounting since 2007. His areas of expertise include investigations into fraud, employee misconduct and compliance issues, as well as advising legal counsels and their clients in legal and regulatory proceedings. Kelvin has worked in the US, Mainland China and Hong Kong (SAR), and often travels to different parts of China and other Asian countries in delivering work.
Kelvin has assisted the audit committee of listed companies as well as the management of multinationals on financial statements fraud and internal investigations. With respect to commercial disputes, Kelvin has in many occasions prepared reports that were presented as evidence in court or arbitral proceedings.
Kelvin’s clients cover a wide range of industries including financial services, electronic and consumer products, as well as pharmaceuticals and life sciences.
He is also a frequent speaker at seminars on the topics of fraud and forensic accounting and often provides training to his clients and legal counsels.
Kelvin obtained his Accounting and Corporate Finance degrees from the University of Southern California and subsequently a Master of Laws degree from the University of Hong Kong. He is a member of AICPA and HKICPA as well as a Certified Fraud Examiner.
