Jeff Yuan

Jeff Yuan is the Transfer Pricing National Services Leader for PwC China and Hong Kong, leading an army of over 200 transfer pricing professionals in Greater China. Benefiting from his previous international tax experience in PwC US, Jeff has strong experience in advising many multinational companies (MNCs) located in China, as well as the Chinese domestic companies going aboard.

Throughout his career, he has served clients in various industries including automotive, life science, chemical, industrial manufacturing and shipping and logistics. These clients include well-known OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, import/export distributors as well as leading auto manufacturers in China.

Jeff is a regular speaker on Chinese transfer pricing issues and trends for professional conferences and contributes frequently to professional publications on the subject.

Jeff has experience in:

• Assisting companies in transfer pricing dispute resolutions
• Advising and helping MNCs design, implement and document cross-border transactions China/Regional/Global tax perspectives
• Recommending and preparing cost effective transfer pricing documentation solutions for MNCs across a wide range of industries and types of transactions
• Assisting in concluding unilateral and bilateral Advanced Pricing Arrangements (APA)s and Competent Authority (CA) negotiations.
• Assisted with the first unilateral APA in Beijing and the first successful CA negotiation between China and Japan and the second bilateral APA between the two countries.
• Assisted with the first bilateral APAs in Suzhou and Shanghai.

Jeff has a Master in Business Taxation from the University of Minnesota and Bachelor degree in Accounting from Winona State University. He is a fellow member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
