Gabriel Wong

Gabriel is the PwC Head of China Corporate Finance. With 21-year of corporate finance experience, Gabriel’s primary business focus is the Lead Financial Advisory for Chinese enterprises in the pre-IPO equity fund raising stage and lead advising Chinese outbound investment. Gabriel has been involved in a wide range of industries including retail and consumer products, industrial products, pharmaceutical and healthcare, finance and insurance.

Since 1991, Gabriel has been working in China in various senior position including an international consulting firm, a well-known MNCs and a European investment bank, overseeing M&A, corporate finance and overseas IPOs.

In the last 3 years, Gabriel has completed a number of high profile private placement and outbound M&A deals in China, including the sale of a local Chinese brewery to a Belgian brewery with RMB6bn, a minority share placement of a Shanghai food manufacturer to an asset management company, the acquisition of a Japanese electronics firm by a well-known Chinese multinational consumer electronics and home appliances enterprise.

Under his leadership, PwC was awarded “The Best Corporate Finance Advisory Service" by the China M&A Association in 2009, and was recognised as the Top Financial Advisor to APAC (ex-Japan) M&A in 2012 by deal volume.

Gabriel received his MBA from Warwick Business School in the UK and is a Fellow member of the ACCA .
