Edwin Wong

Edwin is a tax partner with Beijing office of PwC China. He is China Outbound Investment Services Leader as well as China International Tax Services Leader. He is also the leader of Merger & Acquisition Tax Services and Domestic Market Tax Services in China North Region.

Edwin specialises in advising clients on the tax and operation structuring of their overseas investment as well as overseas group reorganisation and overseas financing transactions. He has been involved in the structuring of several prominent transactions for Chinese clients investing overseas. His clients operate in various industries including automotive, energy and mining, construction, transportation, technology, financial services and real estate.

Edwin has previously worked with PwC Hong Kong and was heavily involved in the structuring of certain prominent cross-border transactions. Before joining Hong Kong office, he has worked in Canada for 10 years. He has extensive experience in advising clients on local and international tax planning, cross border reorganisation structuring, designing of holding company structure, tax and financing structuring as well as on merger and acquisition transactions. He also has extensive experience in helping clients set up and implement tax efficient operating structures.

Edwin is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, Fellow members of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He was a council member of the Taxation Institute of Hong Kong.
