Calvin is a China tax partner based in PwC South China.
Calvin is specialising in providing China tax services, mainly including deal restructuring, tax due diligence review, operation review from tax angle, IPO restructuring advice, health check. He has worked on over 180 China M&A deals, and understands needs of SOEs, Domestic listed/private corporates, MNCs and Private Equity, and has deep experience in pre-deal restructuring & designing, deal exit support, SPA review and negotiation, post deal tax planning, etc.
Calvin is also a member of PwC’s Tax Controversial Service Team. In recent years, Calvin has been supporting the clients in their China investment exit by negotiating with the China tax bureaus for preferential tax treatments, including lower tax rate for dividend, tax exemption on exit capital gain, etc. Calvin has a sound track record and helped client to achieved tax saving of more than RMB6 billion in the past 5 years. In same periods, he has also assisted clients to achieve an efficient remittance of sales proceeds, up to RMB30 billion.
Calvin is a member of the China CICPA, he is also a member of the China Tax Association.
